The
Western Loire stretches along the Atlantic Ocean, just below Brittany.
It is a very scenic region, with some 30 miles of the Jade Coast,
plenty of green countryside, and 250 miles of waterways.
The huge beaches are perfect for windsurfers, and
for people looking for a relaxing holiday.
The Loire Valley is famous for its wines, especially
the light, dry, delicious red wine that you can enjoy in every restaurant
and cellar of this area. If it’s chateaux that you are looking
for, you can visit some of the magnificent examples built by the
Kings of France centuries ago. |
