Castle Vaduz

Towering high above Vaduz, the castle can be seen from far away and draws the eye. Like a fairy tale. Majestic. Unapproachable. Close enough to reach out and touch. The residence of the Princely Family is the landmark of our country. After all, how many castles are there today in which a real prince still lives?

Castle Vaduz is, first and foremost, the residence of the Princely Family. It isn’t mere coincidence that the Princely Family is never talked about in the tabloids. Their private sphere is keenly guarded, and that’s mainly why the Castle is not open to the public. The view from the castle is also always a view of Liechtenstein’s past and present.

National Holiday

The National Holiday on August 15th vividly conveys the closeness between the local people and their guests. This public festival, set in a simply splendid panorama, ends with a grand fireworks display of joy.
