A visit to a museum can be exciting and entertaining.
In the newly renovated National Museum of Liechtenstein,
cultural history is meant to be experienced. Here it
turns into a thrilling journey to the past for adults and
children alike.
The National Museum of Liechtenstein brings together archeology
and cultural history, art and history, traditional belief and industrial
history. Multi-media technology makes this modern museum a space of many
experiences. Nothosaurus lived on the Mediterranean 200 to 250 million
years ago. Forty years ago, a geologist uncovered a fossilized thighbone
of just such a Paddelsaurus in the area of Vaduz. This is natural history
under a sky filled with butterflies, and so much more.
Postage Stamp Museum
Postage stamps are the small works of art from Liechtenstein.
Today, artists from here and abroad still draw mini-stories on the smallest
of spaces. Even if you do not yet belong to the circle of philatelists,
in the Postage Stamp Museum (Briefmarkenmuseum), you’ll learn to
marvel once again.
