Official Tourism Site
The Republic of Senegal is located in the westernmost part of Africa, bordering the North Atlantic Ocean, between Guinee-Bissau and Mauritania. Senegal has over 700Km of beautiful beaches, with high palms and rainforests, dry deserts and over 100 varieties of tropical plants and flowers. A place in Africa where foreigners are accepted everywhere with respect, Senegal has, despite the difficult economic situation and important social changes, retained its values of hospitality: the legendary Senegalese Teranga- where the rights and the religions (Islam and Catholicism and other religions) live in a spirit of tolerance.
